arrghh~~



For all girls and women out there, have you ever feel the throbbing pain that usually occur on you lower mid abdomen during menstruation? This pain that always disturbed you regular activities that may give you fully stress for all day. This pain that also make you wanna kill somebody even your love (refer to ur pet, buddy n so on. huhu)? Yeah, this pain known as period cramp or in malay as sengugut. What make me choose this topic because most of us never know why it happened and how to treat them.


Period cramp also we called as dysmenorrhea (in med words) usually occur on women and girls in stress condition and in different body types. This is due to strong muscle contraction in the uterus during menstruation. While this muscle triggered by hormone-like substances called prostaglandins. But the level of this substance does not seem to have anything to do with how strong a women's cramps are. However, we must strongly know the causes of this pain because maybe some of us may had suffered from the other types of dysmenorrhea we called as secondary dysmenorrhea that may caused by fibroid tumor or pelvis infection.


The tendacy that a women may have cramps if she :




  • has a family history of this pain


  • having stressful life


  • does not get enough excersice


  • uses caffein


  • has pelvic inflammatory disease


My opinion to get better from this pain is you assuming the fetal position. Pulled up your knees to the chest while hugging a pillow to the abdomen. Also by taking vitamin B suppliment or primerose (im not sure the spelling).
